As the hike through the aspen groves of Lockett Meadow progressed up hill, the yellow leaves of the aspen trees from lower on the hill began to create a beautiful yellow backdrop. Around one of the many switchbacks higher up, and a little bit off the trail, I found a spot where the canopy of the lower trees filled the background almost completely with yellow. My first thought was to create a minimalist art style piece consisting of only yellow and white. It wasn't until in the post processing stage that I cropped this into a panoramic format creating a long horizontal space filled with vertical lines doing this added a touch of abstract art by  to the overall image.

All limited edition art prints on canvas are printed in house and framed in hand crafted oak and walnut to create a “floating canvas style” fine art piece. The canvas it's self is treated with a UV blocking glossy varnish before it's wrapped to prevent UV rays from fading and discoloring the canvas print over time.

The walnut is stained black to create separation between the print and the frame and the oak is stained to enhance the colors of the canvas print.
