A crack opens in the center of black paint reminding me of the H.P. Lovecraft story of The Thing that Should Not Be.
When I was young, I read a considerable amount of the works of H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu mythos. Nyogtha, Haunter of the Red Abyss, The Thing which Should Not Be is described as an inky shadow and uses shadows as portals to our dimension. This is the first thing that crossed my mind when I saw this black paint on a stucco wall and the idea was further cemented in my mind when I saw that the wall was cracked open in the center of the black paint.
